WeaponMG. Internal watch

Hello,

I do have a problem with my WeaponMG.

If I dont run the camera for a few days, the internal watch is always going back to 01-01-2010...
Anyone else has this problem?

I have upgraded from Epic Dragon to WeaponMG late 2016. Its an almost new camera...
I am running the newest beta firmware.

Scarlet w same, hope they come up with a firmware fix, don't want to send in....

It's a common problem. I've seen it on a Scarlet and had it happen on my Dragon.

The internal battery has died and needs to be replaced.

Get in touch with RED support, send them a LOG file, and get a service ticket going.

I think there may be two different things going on. A dead internal battery never regains time, like the MX series... Once that clock lost time it always set to like 1999. The DSMC2 is losing time after a few days of not using it. You can set the clock and it will hold time as long as you power it up and use it, say every two days.

Our Epic-W started to act up (would NOT turn on on many attempts). We have to remove the top monitor, lens and the DSMC2 side handle then press the power button several times in quick succession. All this started after upgrading to the DSMC2 Beta Build v6.4.23. Before that it did not have a problem (even when not using or powering up for over a week).

I'm sure the firmware keeps some app open or does NOT completely turn off power to a certain part of the brain. Maybe that action drains the internal battery. Perhaps the time-code clock may be running. Who knows.
