Does anyone have experience with weapon 23.98fps 180 shutter and police lights?

Also, what about standard party strobes? Are there strobe brands that allow you to lengthen the duration of light to not cause a split frame?

Thanks in advance!

I did a shoot a few years ago on the MX sensor and had no issues with real police lights or the fake LED ones we got off amazon. Since the Dragon is an even faster sensor refresh, I would think you'd have no issues.

My Epic Dragon absolutely still has problems with the split screen on modern police lights. I found the images to be unusable whenever the light flash filled the frame, but it was less distracting when the lights were further from camera.

I don't know why Weapon would be better since the read-out time is a sensor issue.

Hmm, 2 different answers here, anyone else? And any input on my strobe question?

in my experience with the Dragon with strobes you should be fine, but I've never used police lights. Some of the cheaper LEDl lights use different frequencies that humans can't tell the difference, but cameras certainly can. I'd ask what ever police department you're working with if you can head over to their HQ and test out the camera with their lights so you know for sure before your shoot.
