Guys,
I know we're early days for Weapon 6K and 8K details as yet, and apologies if anyone has mentioned this and i've totally missed it ... but do we have any idea what the recording times for R3Ds on 1TB Mags will be? Im interested to work out what would be needed for the kind of work I do.

Also, and this may be a silly question, that is blatantly obvious to everyone else, but If you put a prime lens or FF SLR lens (i.e. a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 for example) on to any Red camera, is it manual focus? Im assuming so, but never actually found an answer to the question!

Cheers
Richard

As far as the Nikon question goes:
From the product page
"Features such as autofocus and electronic iris control are enabled with your DSMC BRAIN, ensuring full-feature compatibility with a select list of Nikon lenses."

Thanks Todd,

I'd been all over the Dragon and Weapon pages, never thought to actually look on the mount! Obvious really ... <noise in the background of hitting one's head against brick wall ... and reciting several times, look for the bleedin' obvious!! :) >

Thanks again

Richard

It will be the same as for the Epic Dragon as it's the "same" camera essentially. At 5:1 compression 6K it will be exactly the same as 5:1 compression 6K on an Epic Dragon.
As for the 8K I think Red could answer as they've been shooting with it for some time :)
