Weapon on Movi NIGHTMARE?!?!?!?!

Has my worst nightmare come true? 1. There is no way to power my onboard touch monitor and send a hdmi signal out to a teradek? I've been doing this for years with the old Epic X.

What on earth is everyone with a gimbal doing to work around this?! I cant be the only one that wants to send a feed through a teradek and use their touch monitor...

Official: "Select to enable either the secondary LCD/EVF port on the camera or the HDMI port on an expander. The secondary LCD/EVF port and the HDMI port cannot be used at the same time."

SOLUTION: Side pogos cannot work in conjunction with Jetpack HDMI but they do with Base HDSDI. Pogo contacts front of camera will work with HDMI. Red tech support said the HDSDI Jetpack will not have this problem.

2. Zero audio connections with just the jet pack. Life without wireless hops is killing us.

i think i saw a thread talking about this exact thing. i thought i read you can choose any two, so lcd/evf or lcd/hmdi or evf/hdmi
did you see a way to change that option?

Im not totally clear, I think its only the new monitor connection + either lemo or hdmi. I tried calling bombsquad all afternoon, no answer.

It doesn't look like you have the IO Base Expander, which gets you both HDMI as well as SDI out ports.

I thought the same thing Chris, so I tried the base expander as well. Same issue as jet pack. It kills the lemo feed once hdmi is plugged into base expander. Its completely one or the other.

Hmm...well I'm sure that issue wont' last long since that's a BIG one. RED will probably fix it via update. You're running the latest firmware right?

can can you use your touch screen Lemo adapter from the top port instead of from the operator side port ?

as well as only being able to pick too, i seem to remember you have to specify evf2/hdmi if you are using the side pogo.

That would be terribly not gimbal friendly since that top cage bar is in the way. Also the 1/4 20 holes are offset so the mount would not sit down the middle.

So I have Lemo adapter a and a 5" red monitor attached and sdi sends a signal with out a problem. Does this happen to you when it's not on a movi?

if you use front lcd port HDMI work, if you use lcd side port HDMI not work.

As others have mentioned, you cannot use the side monitor connector and HDMI port simultaneously. You CAN use the top monitor connector and the HDMI port simultaneously. I just dealt with this doing a long one-take shoot yesterday with my CF Weapon. I was able to get the jetpack from RED just time for my shoot, and I built a custom side V-Mount for the weapon to use RED V-Mounts to power camera and follow focus. I originally had to reconfigure after I realized the same problem with the side monitor connector. In the end, the Weapon on the Movi worked perfectly and was noticeably lighter than my Epic Dragon.

i still think its because you cant have 3, and even if the front pogo is not being used, its active. so you have to deactivate it and select evf2 or lcd2 and hdmi…
i dont even have the camera but i read a whole discussion on it here somewhere a few days ago.

right, so try evf/hdmi, since you have it mounted in the evf pogo
