  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I had the epic to magnesium upgrade and it just arrived. No full tests yet but upon initial inspection a few thoughts

1) its so damn lightweight
2) Immediately i noticed how clean the signal was compared to LLO Epic dragon which I used all the time, I cranked ISO to 2000 with standard olpf in and pushed signal to 21" monitor in my gear room with tungsten light, very exciting
3) seems i can record crazy low compression 6k r3d and 2k prores 4444XQ with no sweat, very very cool
4) did I mention how light it is?

Cant wait to do some real testing - but this is indeed a big upgrade

Cant wait to explore luts
 
Sounds great. It's kind of crazy how at the beginning we weren't looking at this upgrade as interesting and now see how different it is from the Epic-D.
Glad we made the decision to upgrade.

Yes, it's what we always wanted from epic all around, I can see myself happy with this cam for a long time
