Just upgraded to 6.1.47 ... boot time still 2:08 minutes

Please see above where Trent said the big boot time optimizations are in firmware 6.2.x and above. Would not see it in 6.1.x or before.

So looks like auto calibration gives you a slightly longer boot time of about 0:42 seconds ... Stoked !

Hi Brent thank you for your answer, I followed the link of Trent and saw that people got some problems with the beta firmware so I decided to stick with 6.1.47 what seems to be the actual approved one.

the next interesting thing would be to see how different modules/mounts/sidekick/sidehandel impact on boot up time ... only got one mount and base i/o module so if someone else wants to take over I would be stoked to see/read!

We are running all our epics on the latest non beta firmware and they boot fast ... I didn´t use the stop watch but I think 30 sec or less. All the stuff in this thread is about carbon weapon so don´t get confused!

Measured boot up times for weapon:
6.1.47: ~26 seconds manual calibration, ~35 seconds auto-cal
6.2.25: ~19 seconds manual calibration, ~25 seconds auto-cal

Times measured are at the point where the camera is operational and ready to record. Monitors etc, may add their own delays when synchronizing to video output from the camera.

I'm a step ahead internally, 6.1.47 has the same measured speed. I will update my previous post.

CF Weapon firmware 6.1.47 bootup time 40s until ready to shoot.. we almost missed a steam train today with the boot up time (that's right, a STEAM TRAIN!!) .. about to try v6.2.44 update will post results.

Upgraded to 6.2.44 firmware.. now ready to shoot in a shade over 20s.. love you, RED.

We still got the steam train on 40s.
