WEAPON + Atomos Ninja2

Hi all,

I need to know if someone have tried the Weapon with the Atoms Ninja2 connected (through HDMI cable). Since I have already one Ninja2 and its underwater housing, I would like to see if this will be a viable option to use as external monitor with RED Weapon inside underwater housing...

Hi Rui,

why would you need a External recorder connected to the weapon???
rd3 is probably the best codec out here and the weapon recordes it internally, you will not need an external recorder that records 1080p 10bit 422 if you are recording 6k 12 bit rd3...

There shouldn't be any reason why this combo won't work, unless your HDMI port decides to go on a vacation. Should be good.

I just got a video devices pix e5h, build quality smokes the atamos stuff, never used with red as a monitor but I would assume it would be fine

Yes, my intention is only to use the Atoms Ninja2 as an external monitor, while underwater (because I also have the housing for it).

BTW, nice to know another RED user in Portugal! Dawn here, we are few and far between...
