Weapon and superslott acessory?

[Patrick Tresch]

Hello,

I was wondering if RED would developp an accessory like the DSMC² REDVOLT Expander including a Superslot instead of a REDVOLT?

This would make a lot of sense IMHO. Tired of velcro.

Superslot specifications.

Hello Matthew,

Superslot is an HF receptor slot (hole and connections) where you can insert most of the leading company audio recievers.

[Brian F Kobylarz]

I asked this general idea a number of years ago while visiting RED - though that was related to the slots that were popular on SONY camcorders, Sennheiser's Quad Pack and several other pieces of gear I had.

Superslot is the newer generation and both Lectrosonic and Sennheiser are just two of the wireless manufacturers that have signed on. I believe the Sennheiser adapter (EK6042) will work with the Digital 9000. 5000, 3000and 2000 series - even the evolution G3's.

I am hoping that at least one variant of the OMOD under development by Off Hollywood will have this feature...

Audio Limited, Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Sound Devices, Wisycom signed in and adopted this standard.
Other manufacturers will join the Superslot "iniciative".

I love these kinds of efforts. Wish it was more common.
