I know how to use a Red, but I see that many people do not (at least on nofilmschool articles) and they complain about the Alexa menu being easier. I don't agree, I think both menus are very easy, but regardless of this I think we should have a camera simulator on red.com (like many competitors already do)
In addition to this we should have a way of sharing looks generated in redcine with one another (safely) through Red.com
A lot of the complaints about noise/colors would be done away with if we could have the best DITs/colorists sharing their looks (with credit attached to them). Or even charge for the looks and give it as a way for people to make a cut while sharing looks? In general I think it would help since a lot of people complain about the post processing part, well this would give them a way to get many many looks to choose from. I think it could do nothing but help the Red ecosystem to seriously consider adding these options to the website. Many competitors already do similar things, and I think it works well, for both novices to get a hand on the camera (without rentals) and for people to have many post processing presets to choose from and therefore share as a community...
Please consider these requests! I would be very happy to upload a lot of looks myself, I enjoy redcine immensely. Thanks guys!
