  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wayne Morellini Documentary

You would have to have his co-operation for such a documentary... and I think Wayne is too modest/low key to agree to that.

It's one of the most tragic stories of the 20th/21s century... My Grandfather was born in the 1880's to a poor sheep farmers... So, I'd rather be on my feet before a documentary gets made. The APT and malnutrition treatments are giving dividens, so I'm posting more with less typos (though it's a fight against this android 7 keyboard).

If I could only put the whole world under a non compete NDA, that would solve my patent and business problems, and let me talk about many of the solutions. I could just hold public auctions to sell the rights :)

I'd probably trust only Elsie and Eric to make such a thing. Elsie, trust worthy nice guy, and Eric to figure out what the stuff I'm talking about. Lol.

But honestly, a lot of stuff is in the background with people who would rather not talk. I mean them well, but some don't share the Utopian dream of trust worthiness and helping the common good.

Thanks Brendan.

Someone on REDuser, please create a documentary on Wayne Morellini. I will absolutely back that Kickstarter campaign.

Wayne, your posts no doubt fascinate and intrigue all of us, and I'd love to watch a comprehensive documentary on you, your ideas, your contributions to the world, and things you predict for the future.

This is not a joke. I wanna know this guy's story.

Yup way ahead of you, I have often thought of doing the same and have Elsie N's story as a counter point. However there is an exploitative element here that possibly crosses ethical boundaries..? (That doesn't seem to stop most documentary film makers). Similar thing with "Outsider Art" is to what could be described as "Outsider tech"... I have often wondered what would happen if you put all of Wayne's posts into IBM's Watson, what would happen? Would it just keel over and wave the white flag (or give you the finger)? There's a curious edge of pure randomness on the edge of sheer genius (Wayne's mind is like a gigantic lava lamp the size of a planet)... It's a weird frontier that probably is worth exploring to answer key questions about the nature of "Ideas". [I won't expand on that].

You know what they say a broken clock tells the right time twice a day... Wayne's mind is like ten billion clocks and have always wondered what would happen if you actually tried to "Curate" all of Wayne's posts how one would dissect those and categorize the material in ways that fall in line with more common forms of organization and cognition?

How come Wayne doesn't have his own website and data base?

Kickstarter OK.

I'll sketch out a budget outline, initial interviews, shooting schedule, travel etc. etc...

Wayne has become a much loved mascot and more besides for RedUser IMO and definitely challenges one to think outside the box but somehow stay within THIS universe... Just (or just about) ;-) .

Love You Wayne!

Wayne's World

I will confess there was a moment that I was quite dismissive of Wayne's post. Only after a point of personal clarity that I realized that privately I was being flippant and quite rude. Not having meet Wayne in the flesh and blood, his non binary approach to certain topics has a sense of facsniation, to me a least. I will raise my pint to Mr. Morellini. Cheers mate!

Lol! Thanks a lot (re-edit: Eric :) ). If people don't understand straight forwards simplicity and logic of my explanations then it maybe them that may have the broken clock. Note, I am often "not" trying to bamboozle people, they do that themselves. You are fortunate I don't do something elaborate, but then people would probably understand it specifically just to be contrary.

But your lava lamp example is interesting, the brain is like that. I think that I have discovered something fundamental about the subconscious. That was what that thread I wanted to post last week was about. Instead of the derogatory clock, imagine many lava lamps instead, and being able to control the resulting aggregate flows of information and channel it to the correct paths, randomness towards control (and I have more to say on that) processing. Now, imagine lava lamps themselves have control and processing structures in them. That is the brain on a grander scale. Now imagine billions of lava lamps, that is the brain on a small scale, feeding into the larger lava lamps. You then oversee control and molding and picking out the correct answers. On one level the lamps appear random, particularly the small ones, but are handable. On the larger level they are much more handable for processing. They present information on the small level, random information, to pick correct information from, to direct on correct paths. This means often the information is there for comparison/contrast and therefore wrong, but able to be used to correctly sort information. On the larger level the combined inputs may fluctuate but are more processable. For somebody mad they can't control this logical processing very well and maybe also be overwhelmed with input. The input is the source of true creativity, and the amount of, and propagation of (therefore neural variable interactivity) the forward degree of creativity (re-establish the, missed this, but the forward degree would be the larger lava lamps and interactive variability, handling and control in ane between them, but unfortunately I forgot the mental thread I was writing about) (unfortunately it is complex, as the back ground creativity are the smaller lava lamps affecting amount of base ablity, with overall ability affected by the brain biochemistry and structures such as myelin). This fits in with the model of cognitive structure I've been developing since a child, which seems to be supported by more recent science. However, this is not the new fundamental understanding of the subconscious I mentioned I was going to post about before. It will be a new division and pathways in my model.

People have varying degrees of ability of raw creativity and how to deal with it. But it means that a lot of the population have a lot more ability than they use, and can lean to use it. However, certain conditions result in a higher number of immature brain cells, like kids and teenagers, which may have a bearing on variability of signal interaction proppergation, which also means more complex learned networks (neuroplasticity) before solidification in delayed maturity (hence while the forced to be "hard" at the same time as maturing early, sound different and have less creative intelliegence, late bloomers seem to learn more and solidify into better more intellectually and/or thoughfully connected citizens (it is exactly what it sounds like).

Sorry, I have re-edited my above post for clarity. The new android 7 keyboard system has changed a lot of things, which with dense text, changes fundamental meanings. This thing sometimes keeps gvngnyj neighbouring key when you press it, but also the spell corrector produces multiple words/word changes from the merest of mistakes by the look of it.

We could start with a link to one product that has been manufactured for context.

The intro could start with a series of slow pans across countless napkins with various ideas/sketches scrawled upon them that were later 'invented' by someone else...

Sorry couldn't resist :) I always find Wayne's posts intriguing to say the least.

I get what you are saying, but I suggest it comes from your perception of things.

I've conversed with Wayne via Private Message and may have a little better idea what the man is about. First of all, I believe him when he says he has had an idea independent of what someone else has also come up with and profited from. Wayne is a great thinker but is lacking in the business sense of sticking to one idea, getting funding, and creating the finished product. His mind is so animated that he has trouble focusing on the details of just one idea but instead is triggered to explore other ideas. At least that's my estimation of him.

I also understand feeling someone has co-opted your idea. I once registered a treatment for a story about a Sherrif in Ruidosa NM. It would have a summer series regarding horse racing and the people who came to the town for that. Then the story would shift to winter and be about the snow skiing and the people who came there for that.

The title was Ruidosa followed by the zip code (can't remember what it was). I registered the treatment with IMDB and eventually let it run out. Then came the Aaron Spelling production with just the zip code as the title. Couldn't help but wonder if that came from my idea after the treatment no longer had paid protection. Of course it is likely that the idea came to whomever came up with it just as it had come to me to put that in a title.

To sum up, Wayne has had some drama in his life and quite possibly his story would be interesting to a broad audience.

But as was suggested, I'm not available to make the documentary. I have approximately 10 made-up stories to do... one at a time.

Wayne does not draw on napkins, it's all in his mind (somewhere). That creates a bit of an "Interface" problem.

If someone had $250K to front a POC (Proof of concept) for just one idea to be initially developed I think Wayne might have a very very hard time to just pick "One".

Sometimes very good ideas are a hideous responsibility to execute and follow through on to create companies that thrive and branch out in terms of capabilities and continued expertise (including R&D).

@Wayne OK "Quantum Clock"... Ten billion clocks stopped at random intervals of "Plank time". At many horology museums around the world they choose to stop some of these amazing and beautiful clocks (like the John Harrison clocks of Longitude fame) at Greenwich (London). These clocks are stopped so they do not literally grind their gears into a pile of metallic crystals and microscopic chips (to be found at the bottom of the case). Many of these clocks are significant artifacts, in some cases the embodiment of the "Age of Enlightenment", thus being maintained in perpetuity by virtue of being Stopped.

The fact that some of these clocks are stopped does not make them any less beautiful or important.

No to a documentary. It has to be an adaptation, maybe incorporated into Ketch: The Movie, if that materialises. Ketch plays himself, with Jack Nicholson playing Wayne.

Now you're talking
I'll watch anything with Jackie boy ;-)

I was thinking more along the lines of Geoffrey Rush circa 1996 and Shine (brilliant performance)... to play Wayne.

Only one set of napkins with a internet romance comedy outline on it. I scanned it onto A4 (I'm not one of you Hollywood types).

A lot of ideas were actively worked into the interfave workflow of old Opera web browser with M2. Not so much android etc, etc, etc.

If you look around the internet (and twist Chris Hurd's arm a bit for the original pre-red camera suggestion thread) you will find old camera outlines that sound exactly like the Red One.

Stick with lamps.

Took a while to find out which Ketch movie you meant. But why are you people picking all the actors I don't like. Couldn't you pick somebody like Mark Wahlberge.

Anyone here listened to the podcast S-Town? I think a jourmalistic endeavour like that into Wayne might be appropriate (hopefully without the suspected murder/deaths).

Wayne, you are smart enough to know your chosen for of communication does you little favours in terms of being truly heard, yet you post so frequently that there myst be something about the reduser audience that makes it desirable to you for us to listen...

Any insight into what you get out of bringing your thoughts to the forum?

Community. Been too sick with very little help to start a blog, data base, business venture for a while. I plod on to get somewhere though (and there is a lot of places to go, just the next one to concentrate on).

I still have an order page open for the new phone, just incase they tell me something that is practical for my purposes professionally. However, apart from the possible holographic screen it is underwhelming. My design proposal for a multipoint camera is barely bigger than the frame of a film, but intuitively easy to use professionally. So, hydrogen is underwhelming, but I appreciate it, it is a good effort for them.
