There are so many software now and I can't really recall, but is there any software can utilize the edgecode to conform from EDL files?
I transcoded all of the clips and place them to a timeline starting from 1.00.00.00, so the time code should be identical to the edgecode if there are no drop frames. Master to tape and provide this tape to offline editing.
The editor uses old media composer to edit from tape, then provided me the EDL. So the EDL inherits the time code from the original timeline from FCP which should be identical to the edgecode.
I can bring in the EDL to FCP, then is there any software to conform to original R3D using edgecode? Monkey Extra looked like it could do it, but somehow it didn't work. It did copy all of the R3Ds that used in the EDL using its R3D copy function, so somehow the edgecode and timeline red time are connecting.
Did Clipfinder work with EDL that I'm missing in somewhere? Or would it be the automatic duck solve this puzzle?
