some official statement?

would using 3rd party batteries erase the warranty in anyway?
imagine something happens caused by a battery...then it could be..."yeah but you didnt used the red bricks, so no warranty for you."

or is this nonsense paranoia?

i would like to have an official answer

thanks

Some advice - its not a requirement under the terms of your warranty that you use a RED-BRICK battery.

But the battery you do use must be compatible with the RED-ONE.

i.e if your battery supplied excess voltage, or insufficient current, or the interconnect cable you created was not to our published pin-out, then you a taking a risk of physically damaging your camera and / or the integrity of your digital media; and then any in-warranty claim would most probably be denied.

I am using CHINA power station to supply to my Charger to charge CHINA made Batteries with T-Mount Battery Plate of 2 x 190Wh.

Those four 190Wh batteries havebeen working fine for almost 4 months now with RED.

May be the RED never power down since then !!!

STEW.

Question : if some thing happens of a batteru ? why you need to tell some body that you are yousing 3rd party batteries. Sow just tell red that you are yousinf DC power and thats all :)

why should i lie...the red company treat me with respect...so will i.

i am just asking, because i thought about the swift v-lock batteries 160 wh to 190 wh against reds 140 wh per brick and their charger is a 4 bay parallel charger rather then sequentiel like the red charger. And you have less trouble flying around with them.

and they cost around the redbrick prices and chargers.
its not about the money, i was rather interested in longer recording times, faster charging times and easier transportation...

is red thinking about something like this?
and are the swift batteries ok stuart?:

or the older

this is their parallel charger:

another question... would red bricks charge on this charger?
