BE AWARE

There is a guy hacking legitimate accounts here and trying to sell things:

  1. He slips into your PMs via the hacked account.
  2. Then asks for you e-mail,
  3. hen sends a weird looking PayPal invoice (on actual Paypal). A lot of assurance and pressuring into paying.
Check this case:

He uses a very old, activs/legit account, almost fell for it.

Is this guy/girl an insider? He clearly knows RED stuffs, might even have the devices.

I am very glad that Janis got to the bottom of this before money was exchanged. Exactly HOW they broke into my account is another issue.

I have since changed my password, but who knows?

It's sad.

We got to the bottom of this, because I studied Stephens 'posts' here, didn't seem like he has a Komodo-X and I worte him to another e-mail address than the scammer was writing from to confirm he is really the seller. Luckily Stephen replied fast.

You really have to go at length. But if you are somewhat aware of the red flags, I still think marketplaces are important to have next to giants like ebay who costs everyone more money.

Since its a old, low-security forum here, I imagine it to be rather easy to hack for someone who knows his/her game.

Actually, Janis, you were right on all counts. . . except that I do have a Komodo-X, and would actually like to buy another one (body only).

:)
