  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jarred recently posted that you will double the amount of employees soon. So whatever you are working on now will be hardware related?

Jim, there are brief moments in time that I hate you. Usually at about midnight just as i am feeling dozy, you say something, that is so very vague, but given the track record, so very exciting, that you kill all chance of sleep. And I haven't even upgraded my original R1! I may not even have anything more to be excited about! and thus, because I may not get to be excited about it, i think you should tell me. Ill keep it a promise, i swear.

camera, projection, or post, what is it closest relation too ? after all I wouldn't really want you to ruin all the fun by telling TOO much.

A merger(acquisition) for their patents if it interested you. Just curious and super excited. I'm a big RED fan. I told my peers Kodak would be done this year -- I'm all in on RED.

** specifically their imaging patents which may or may not be of interest **

For some reason this statement brings to mind the lines from Goldfinger when Bond says something to the effect of "Do you expect me to talk?" and Goldfinger says "No Mister Bond... I expect you to die!"

I don't think anyone on this forum takes your offer to clarify very seriously. '-)
 
OH! wait If I get one clarification i change it to this, Will it have a positive effect on my still beautiful beast R1?

Maybe you don't - you are much smarter than I. Just wondered if there may be an opportunity to take over their company. I have have been getting yelled at by Kodak reps for 2 years now while at NYU telling me RED is not the way to go blah blah blah. I wear RED T-shirts, lanyards around all the time and nobody in my class really speaks to me because of it. Shame, for me, it would be the ultimate, I told you so to the entire industry. Again, I am a baby in this business you are a master. I mean absolutely no disrespect.
 
Jim, keep getting more and more talented directors to shoot on RED. Peter Jackson, Steven Soderbergh, and David Fincher are doing excellent things with RED, let's just hope others will realize it too! cough cough Danny Boyle
 
Ooh, this is getting exciting!

By the way Mr. Jannard, your building in Irvine is amazing. I was there earlier today to pick up my Scarlet. Walking through the front door was like dream come true. Then, being there to pick up my Scarlet was like a dream come true times fourteen. :-)
