Paragon mac/win drive transfer software caused some panic on a tight video shoot last week. I’ve used Paragon HFS+ and Paragon NTSF for years without a problem, but this version caused my USB camera card reader to throw up errors that indicated SOME of my camera media cards were corrupt! Completely wrong! It is Paragon that caused the problem and its removal from both my Mac and Windows 10 systems IMMEDIATELY solved the problem. Internet blogs alerted me to this issue and waiting for camera down time so that I could verify that there was indeed media on the cards gave me confidence - so that after I realized it was Paragon that was causing the problem I reformated my backup drives to Exfat to transfer media between systems, and this is a strategy I now imply after the shoot to ingest media since I can no longer trust or use Paragon.
