... Pretending to be one of your friends of which they actually Haked their email accounts and emails, I almost had a Heart attack because of the emails below, til I figure out my good friend Joseph Hutson would never write to me in this way, He is way too polite and his manners way too good to write this unfriendly and pertinacious note, but I had to call him in person to be sure and figure this out... fortunately Jospeh its ALRIGHT!!

THIS ARE JUST SCAMS!!!

BE AWARE OF THEM!!

From the Scam Artist that tucked possession of Joseph's account:

" Hi,

Just writing to let you know our trip to London,England it has been a mess. We were having a great time until last night when we got mugged and lost all our cash, credit card cell phone. It has been a scary experience, I was hit at the back of my neck with a pistol. Anyway,I'm still alive and that's what's important. I'm financially strapped right now and need your help.

As we speak i need 1,500pounds to add up and sort my bills, don't worry i will def refund it as soon as we get home, the fastest and safest means you can get money to me is via western union.

Here's my info:

Name:Joseph Hutson
Location: xx-xx Gxxx xxxxx St
London Exxx 0xx, UK

As soon as it is done, kindly get back to me with the confirmation number. Let me know when you are heading to the western union now

Best Regards

"The answer is 'No' 100% of the time you don't ask..."

My reply...

"Hey are you okay!!!!

Come on Skype now I want to talk to you!"

HIs response...

"Yes, i am but i would like you to help me with the funds
"

My replay...

"Sorry no western union here."

His reply...

"Ok, Can you have it wired by Moneygram? or do you have a Moneygram outlet near you? Please let me know the next step"

My reply....

"Call me on Skype and we work this out..."

His reply...

"I'm at the local library trying to get help back home don't have access to phone since the muggers went away with my phone and the hotel management stop me from making calls because of my out standing bills. Let me know if you will be ableto help me out with funds"

My reply...

"Perfect then you can call me via Skype form the library's computer that you are suing to email me."

His reply....

"As i told you Earlier that everything has been stolen off me Including my Phone so i can Only access my Email box"

My Final reply after I talked to Joseph in person...

"Sorry but this is just not going to fly with me, you are clever but not that clever, you tucked possession of Joseph's info and now using it to try and scam people, Joseph is in Malibu California attending a Camp!!"

Replies form the Scam artist stopped immediately!!

SO PLEASE BE A WARE DON'T FALL FOR THIS TYPE OF SCAMS!!

Thanks for the heads up Ketch.

Besides, if Joseph was in London, the logical place to go would be RED Europe for assistance!!!

:-)

Sure thing, reason I posted this is because several friends have contacted me asking me about Joseph Hutson as they knew of him staying at my Place in California
and been good friends especially after the great experience of the Epic American Tour together.

My buddy Jorge from Vegas, and Ron from California were also emailed by this Scam Artist which Hacked Joseph's account, so I none presumed that all of Joseph's contacts are getting
the same general email, with no name, just with hey initial "Hi,"

SO wanted to be sure to warn people.

But yeah you are right Steve, Joseph would have done that no doubt, and or with his great knowledge of the net and Social media we would have wreak about it, on Twitter, Face Book or heard form on Skype... ;)

Scams abound! Seriously though; no money transfers or details of any kind unless I can 100% confirm that person really is that person - a call usually being the best bet as that scares any potential scammers away :-)

The worst part of a story like this is that in real life there is no super hero... no zorro, no Michael Weston... to hunt these persons down and stop their thieving ways.

I got this scam email from Joseph today.

Scammers just don't wanna give up!

I had the same thing with another friend a while back. I wrote to Joseph here to tell him that his account was hacked.

Also had something similar once;

After the initial email;

me: I hope your wife Susan is OK??

scammer: yes, Susan is fine thank you.

me: your wife's name is not Susan.

End of story. As long as the internet exists, there will be scammers, a lot of them seem to originate out of Nigeria.

I didn't get that e-mail. I feel offended now ;)
LOL

Thanks Ketch, even though I think in these boards we have enough keys about who is who. In this case, they should know you are personally in touch with Joseph. Particular detail that people in absence of good faith certainly have no key about :-( Nice to be aware anyway. This can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

I've had the same scam a while back - was initially taken in as it seemed to come from a good friend - fortunately things not adding up rang alarm bells early on. But it plays on everyone's natural concern for friends and family in trouble. Scammers are such scum - wish they could all be caught and punished. :(

someone tried this on my grandmother telling her that I was in a car accident and needed money immediately. Aside from adding nothing to society and taking away from it, this person wasn't even targeting the super rich, my grandmother a retired school teacher is on a very tight pension, and besides that she nearly had a heart attack and was in a worried fit.

these things should not happen in this world, unfortunately they do, so all we can do is try and set a better example and hope others will follow.

Treat others as you would like to be treated!

In real life outside, I knew something similar with someone pretending to be close of a relative of mine. When my relative tried to check the story out, there wasn't scam anymore 'cause scammer either.

Hey Ketch,

I got that same exact email from "Joseph Hutson", but after reading it I knew immediately it was a total scam. These scumbags apparently hacked Joseph's email address book and shot those emails off to everyone in it.

Joseph would know better than to email me from "London" asking for emergency funds - he never emails me, he texts me when he has a question.

Some dumb ass actually felt that we'd fall for that. My advice to whoever sent those emails is for him to grab his left ear with his right hand, then also grab his right ear with his left hand - then simply pulls his head out of his ass!!

Time to beef up the firewall on your laptop Joseph :-)))

Hey Steve,

I understand very well your scandal, but that description of your post made me have piety of the guy(s) or girl(s) being the case... LOL :-)

Cheers,

E.

Here in Mexico they've been doing this for a while.

They call and pretend they have kidnapped someone you know or fake an incident and try to negotiate a transfer as fast as possible. The irony is that most of these extortionists operate from inside prisons. That's right! They've been caught and still they continue terrorizing people.
