Just wanted to know if anyone was intereseted in selling their RED body only. Im willing to pay over the 17,500 depending on the serial number. Obviously, the lower the number the more im willing to negotiate on price. Lets just say that im willing to pay MAX 19,500 for a body. So if your interested let me know.

Why don't you just purchase it from the store at $17,500 and get it right away?

He wants low serial number to trade in for Epic earlier rather than later, it makes sense.

Problem with that is that many of us low serial number people (I'm 206) were able to get some decent rentals out of the redone in the early days before the market was flooded, and depending on how fast the ramp up is it should be the same for Epic-X. So it only takes s few days of rentals to actually lose money due to having sold the camera for the $2000 premium.

Will Epic's be sold to buyers in the order of their Red serial no. or delivery date?

both and in that order. many threads about that

our red is not for sale. (in my best al pacino in scarface)

was only kidding.

6600 RED ONE cameras give or take 200 have been sold I believe

Jim Jannard grew a tiny sunglass company to unthinkable shipping numbers.

my money is on RED waiting until they can ship with a lot more capacity.
support network. et al. the RED ONE proved their vision. the epic scarlet are refinements in form factor , design and function.

im not a renter. i just want the true 4k s35 workflow of Epic X and tasty framerates and the rocket, red ray, red 4k raygun, etc etc

depends in my opinion how the post of 5k can be handled.

redcode is nearly "painless" one and a half year after release

dont know if 5k over 4k is so much better and worth a premium considering postproduction costs.

another point is for us europeans still the lack of a support center (should be solved soon)
with so many reds around it is easy to get a back up body, but with just a few brains out there, i can see producers renting 2 or 3 reds instead.

but if you get several brains at the same time this can be solved again.
and if its implemented right away, well then you are right.

future will tell.

and i hope it will be epic
