Martin, what's the load capacity on that thing? Where is the gimbal?

I had a Merlin once and sold it. Never found it as great as I had hoped it would be. No problems with the balancing of cameras, but didn't like the control of the swivel, way too small to use effectively. Also, since your arms are acting as the arm of a Steadicam, they tire out very quickly. Like trying to hold a milk jug at arm's length to get a smooth and steady shot. I can get a smoother shot with the RED on my Mantis better than I could a Canon GL2 on the Merlin. YMMV. But, on the other hand, the Merlin was a well-built piece of kit.

Must at least be 100 if not a full 150 grams.

Where is the gimbal?

Doesn't have one. Runs off batteries. Loads of them.

But it does have

I have a merlin arm and vest, I was using it with a glidecam 2000 ( just uses the pilot pin) - feel free to PM a offer ( it is pretty gently used )
