Anyone else use one of these on set? My lovely girlfriend just bought me a WACOM intuos4 tablet(medium size, perfect for on top of a DIT cart). First time I ever used one and was really digging the adjustments I could make (to the smallest amount) and just felt like I had more control over what I was doing versus a mouse.Just curious as to if anyone else uses one of these? I set up the side buttons to launch applications (FCP, REDCINE, R3D DM, etc) and switch the pen from pen to mouse mode as well.

I have an Intuos4 on my Win7/64 PC and Redcine (both X and Pro) don't recognize the mouse. You can use the pen without any problem but for some reason the mouse doesn't interact with the Redcine interface. That is a bit of a pain as the Lift/Gamma/Gain controls are WAAAAAYYY to sensitive with the pen. Everything else works great.

There is a workaround though, if you plug in any generic USB mouse you can use it to have full control of Redcine.

Interesting Paul, I just used mine in redline x and the only problem I had with the mouse was when I tried to use it on the color wheels. Just wouldn't work correctly, so I pulled out the pen in "mouse mode" and it was great.. I actually felt like I had more control over things using the stylus.

You can actually program the individual buttons to do what ever you want them to do (achievable via keyboard shortcuts or app code) and also have it display what they do. There is even a radial menu that you can cleverly setup for things like memory banks for grade copy and paste, looks, etc...

I could not live without it - plus mine is the wireless version too...
