Any Redusers with Vocas MB350 matte boxes or similar model? Are they well made and good quality? Seem pretty light weight compared to some.

I use the MB450. I like it plenty of slots and swing away Don't know about the 350

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looking at a used one.

Haven't used the 350, but we've got several Vocas MB-325s - Overall, find Vocas kit to be very well designed and good build quality.

We have the 450 and it's great!
Just a little heavy compared to the normal clamp on.

I have the 450. The only thing that I would caution is that they don't really have technical support over here in North America. I had a mishap where one corner of the mattebox cracked off.

I bought a replacement scoop, but didn't even know where to begin to try to replace it. It would have involved removing all the screws, levers and the Vocas logo and reapplying it to the new one.

Frustrated phone calls/emails overseas and to the dealers here resulted in them just sending me a whole new matte box and me sending in the old one.

There is no technical support in NA - so you are kind of on your own!

I know abel sells it, whats where i bought it.
They try but they dont really know much about it.
I just email Vocas directly and have had great luck with replacement parts over the years.

I have the MB450 and its awesome. everyone likes it because of the internal eye brows and the front rotating filter stage, like the panavision matte-boxes.

Also its huge in the back, i use it as a clip-on on a cooke 20-100 and even the RED zoom 18-85mm.

Hi Dylan,

Not sure if this has changed since you last talked to them, but I just got this info from Vocas:

I love my 450. I think it's the best box for the buck, and they aren't that cheap, but less than Arri. I am pretty sure that there is a distributor back east. I believe that is where Able gets their vocas stuff. The 450 also works great with the new Red 17-50 pro zoom.
