I know that it shouldn't be the first priority, but Vista support would be amazing. I'm not saying this as a vista only person, I'm surrounded by 2 xp machines, a leopard machine and a vista 64 machine, I just wish that Red would schedule in support for Vista. Rob or any other Red Team member, is there any hope for the PC side for the future? Please!

Hope for what? Some people have reported running REDCINE on Vista. It's not yet a supported platform though (same with Leopard).

I am currently running it on 32-bit Vista. (Dual Opteron 290s, nVidia Quadro FX4600 w/ 162.65 drivers) It took a little longer to load than an older XP machine. When I say load, I mean the time it takes to display the Red logo. It is black for a while with the spinning Vista circle.

I'm running Vista 64 and it loads, but when I go to load a clip, it says that Redcine stopped working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try this, right click on RedCine.exe under C:\Program Files\REDCINE\bin (or where you installed it) and chose properties. Somewhere in there should be a "run in XP Compatibility mode" and see if that helps.

You may also want to uninstall and reinstall. When you re-install, right click on the .MSI, select properties and try the XP compatibility mode.

Rob, I am curious, do you run RedCine under appverifier when you develope/test? If not, I highly recomend it. I have not done it yet since I don't have PDBs or a chk build. It is a great tool to help look for memory related bugs.
