For sale is a vintage Zeiss Jena MC 180mm f2.8, rehoused by Kim Camera. The lens has a stainless steel PL mount, 95mm front, 330+ degree focus throw.
This lens is a nice telephoto addition to Zeiss Super Speeds. The iris design is the same, and it has similar contrast and color. It's also a much cheaper alternative to the Zeiss Standard Speed 180mm T3.
This lens was originally designed for medium format photography so it will easily cover any sensor including RED Monstro and Alexa 65.
OPTICS
Mint. Very clean. No haze, no fungus, no scratches. Coatings are gorgeous. It's tough to photograph the rear coating because it's pretty deep inside the housing, but it's in amazing condition.
MECHANICS
Excellent. The lens was profesionally rehoused. Focus and iris rotate smoothly. There is no oil on the iris blades.
