vimeo 4k - what file to deliver?

[Flo Eckhardt]

Hi,

I am looking into the new vimeo 4k video distribution and was wondering if anybody did this already and what file/compression
was used?

thank you for the help!

nobody?

Since it seems to be for download only, and not streaming it may not be an issue at this point. Try loading a short 4K ProRes file to your account and see what happens. YouTube that does provide 4K streaming uses VP9.

thanx for your answer Michael !

Has anybody used vimeo vod 4k to distribute a film?

I use h265 (based on suggestions from reduser)... keeps the file size down. ProRes works fine but files are generally too large for my 'plus' account daily limit.
