So I bought the Blackmagic Mini Monitor. And it works fine with 1080p timelines. But I want to view my 4K footages downressed to 1080p, which I found out unfortunatly isn't possible with the card. But I can work in a 1080p timeline with downsized 4K footage. But I have to do this manually for each clip (I´m using Paste Attributes with a 50% scale and a shortcut, but still a hassle). Is there any way to get footage to automaticly downsize itself to the timeline size everytime I punch a clip down?

Or is there a setting in Premiere, that I´m missing? Am I able to view 4K timeline on 1080p monitor through the Decklin Mini Monitor?

What do you think?

I have done that. But it didnt work. Maybe it needs a restart. Will try again.

Ok, I saw a video on Creativecow. So it seems, that the ticked Scale to Frame Size is tagged only to those clips, which are imported after the box was ticked.

One more question though. When I want to render out to a 4K master after I have edited, and I create a new 4K timeline, and paste the 1080p scaled footage into that timeline, and size up to 200% (or whatever), do I loose any fidelity? Or is the resolution nondependent upon the scaled number?

As long as you still using your r3d and change back to 100% your back to full res. Or if you used scale to fit you have to uncheck it.

I think bmd plays dirty. They wright at there site that you can can work in 4k timeline and output 1080 to the broadcast monitor. Took long time to bmd to admit it. Atleast i got an apoligize from a bmd worker. Hopefully its a feature that comes, perhaps now in october with next drivers!
