I'm buddies with Jarred from way back so when the time came to finally shoot the echoecho promos (echoecho is the mobile location sharing startup I'm the CEO of) - I came calling for gear...and walked away with a bunch of toys. (sadly they were just borrowed ;) - in case anyone gets too excited)We were shooting really quickly (too quickly in fact) - we tried to shoot 5 totally different promos and we only had the stage for 8 hours ;)Anyway here's the hero Epic...

And here's a frame from the final video. I did the edit/titles/color correct myself - didn't have time to clean up the matte's perfectly so all you guys out there who could do a better job - yeah yeah I know - but remember I have a day job ;)

Last but not least - here are the youtube links to the vids:
and the last one is NSFW (of course this is my favorite)
enjoy guys...thanks to everyone involved - Colin Cunningham (from Falling Skies), Dominika Wolski, Sean Simbro on the acting front, Francisco Bulgarelli (DP), Tom Boykin (sound mixing and post), Jarred of course...and everyone else...

forgot to mention the workflow.
Shot in 5k on the EPIC - all 24p - I knew I was aiming for 720p youtube - so I put it through RedCine once quickly to get a 720p quicktime to play with.

locked the cut with Vegas 11 Pro.

(tried playing with redcode directly in Vegas and it worked but not quite responsive enough for the timing of cuts I wanted)

Then I went back through and paid a bit more attention color correcting in RedCine - pushed a TIFF sequence to After Effects for matting/touching up the cyc, adding titles etc. (in the meantime ProTools did the audio mix)

When After Effects was done used Vegas to make the final outputs.
Sadly since youtube's MP4 codec usage has really annoying gamma shift - I went hardcore and exported uncompressed from Vegas - then let youtube handle it on import.

A bit painful - but it worked.
