Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my video editing monitor and would be grateful of any thoughts about what to look out for when buying one.

I've noticed that most seem to be 32" or under. I was thinking of getting something as big as possible, as I don't want to miss technical issues when working at home that I might not see until working with a colorist at the end of the edit, or worst of all, when work is shown in theaters. 32" does actually fit into my workspace very well, though this size or smaller makes me a bit concerned due to the above.

Another option could be to work with a projector, but I'm not sure if an accurate one (mainly in terms of things like sharpness and brightness, not color) would be in any way affordable.

I am thinking of sticking with a 1080p system, though would be interested to hear if 4K is worth it (considering I won't be doing any color work myself, on big projects at least).

My budget is limited but flexible ($650 is comfortable, $1350 is painful etc.).

So far, I have been thinking about one of the following (prices translated into USD):

ASUS PA328CGV 32” ($850)
BENQ PD3200U 32" (about half the price of the above if buying used)
Acer DM431K 43" ($695)

Many thanks
