  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am fairly new to film so please bare with me on my questions --

If I shot a film in for instance 5KWS or 4.5KWS or any WS format for that matter and I wanted to produce the final result in 4K- WS without letter box, what are the dimensions I should use so no blackbars appear on top and bottom of the final export just the wide shot.

im curious about this myself but from this chart it looks like WS is an aspect ratio of 2.37:1 so if you were to scale the 5kWS pixels of 5120x2160 to 4kWS pixels of 4096x1728 you would maintain the same aspect ratio of 2.37:1. so it looks like the number you're looking for is 4096x1728. someone else correct me if im wrong.
