Hello Everybody !
I was just wondering if the Element Technica Video Break box was the only option to cable BNCs to the camera : http://elementtechnica.mybigcommerce.com/video-break-out-box/

I saw this one too but seems more expensive and not as practical as the Element Technica one : http://www.probroadcastsupply.com/l...-to-bnc-video-interface-breakout-box-rd1-bx4/

I was just wondering if there was an other option or not, the Element Technica system seems to be the best system, but I find it a bit pricy !
Any suggestions ?

Thanks for your help.

The ET is the way to go. Very well designed and will provide many years of service.

The mini connectors on the side of the camera are not rated for repeated on-off use.
Once cables are attached, they protrude perpendicular to the body - which makes them prone to damage from even small impacts.
Add to that the strain from the weight of the cable on the connector - even with a strain relief, you are asking for trouble someday.

The ET breakout resolved these issues.
Stays on the camera saving the more fragile mini connectors from excessive wear.
Shifts the direction of the cables to the back of the camera reducing the chances of damage from an impact.
Eliminates the need for the special mini to BNC adapter cables.

For those of us that paid full price with our original RED Ones years ago, the current price sure looks like a good deal.

Thanks for that reply ! I'm considering taking an ET then ! It looks like it's really well thought of !
