I have a build 20 Red One, and will be using it in a very hot and high humidity area. Has anyone any experience using these cameras in these conditions? I am guessing the fan blowing wet hot air around is going to cause problems.
Many Thanks Richard Cook.

I was having humidity problems but just with one red camera, the second one was
working just fine. The problem is not related to a specific build. The camera was dropping frames and freezing in post process. I didn't manage to solve this problem so I cant give you some useful advice except that if is possible maybe you should test the cameras in similar conditions before you start the project.

The cooling chamber and fan is completely separate from the camera electronics, so that should not be subject to humidity problems.

Condensation going from aircon inside to hot humid outside is a more likely issue.

ice packs and a good supply, ones that don't condensate! keep it out of direct light, reload after a post crash, and check the footage.

if you take it from a cold or hot environment that is very humid wait a while to switch it on so the camera can get to room temp, as you would with a lens.

I shot in Tobago and barbados in December of last year and did not have any humidity problems apart from some of the bolts on the camera rusting. ( I was by the water and it was extremely humid). Just put your camera in a plastic bag when going from AC to the outside and this should minimize the condensation that will form on your lens.
A hairdryer can be useful in humid conditions as well to get the condensation off your lens.
