  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

very cool 5D II video

I just see the appeal of this video...
Looks like a few kids got a canon.. and shot a bunch of stuff..
im pretty sure ive seen the same video back in film school

It's much better than that. There's quite a story to watch if you stick with it. In fact, damn near EVERY shot has an important part of the story to tell if you really pay attention. It's pretty jam packed.

ok...but seriously guys...for the price...and the quality that THAT particular vid was shot...is it really that bad a quality music video?
Technically, wasn't that shot with a still camera?
Obviously, once you've shot RED, you can never go back...nuff said...
but for the layman joe blo who one day wakes up and has a creative idea bounce thru his head, and feels he wants to tell a story as cheap as he can... I think this tool, as it sits prior to the release of the Scarlet of course, is going to crush...

I'm surprised that anyone is dissing this video. I guess all art is subjective, though.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for naughty, cute girls like this. It's a simple, hypnotic track that is so vague it invites almost any type of video. It was a blank canvas, and this guy painted something really impressive on it, IMO.

This guy is 23 years old and still in film school. I bet he gets all kinds of awesome job offers from this one video alone. I think it's brilliant what he did. Kudos to him.

Pretty good!

Not mentioning the song, very nice to listen to :P.

Right on.

Now that's what I'm talking about.... (after seeing the m.v. in the neighboring thread)
I thought it was well cast and directed, although the prodigy video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HejyDRvoqL0 and the guy ritchie soccer commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anwlpTgbQTE had a bit more of a 'straight up with a twist'...
The grade and camera work was lovely, nothing to pick at there...

Thanks for posting and sharing

That video was great. I'm usually not a fan of the 'there's a gun, and eventually every body dies' plot line, but this was exceptionally well done, inventive and creative.

Kudos to the man. I bet the budget was non existent, and it entertained me far more than most of the multi-million dollar dross at the box office.

I thought it was a fantastic video, i've watched it three times. The 5D image holds up fantastically, and it's very well done.

It's fantastic that we have HD cam's with this kind of form factor commercially available so we can do this kind of stuff so more easily.
