This morning I was headed out to RED with few Trays of fresh Baked Home made Lasagna, which was a little something I had prepared to show my gratitude to the Red Team, and their constant attention to detail and to show how much I appreciate their always working so hard in anything that they do at Red, of which I witness more then once directly, truly incredible and mazing Customer service and attention, like no other company I have done business with in the past 20 years, basically my entire Life!!

Unfortunately the I never made it to Red today, do to a Major accident of a Super Tanker exploding on the 91 freeway.

Neither did the Lasagnas made it there, and felt Frustrated for being stuck in traffic with no way out for over 6 and a half ours, but I felt very bad about having left the guys at Red with no Lasagna!!

So I wanted to vent out some of the frustrations, and also give an open apology to the guys over at Red for I know they were waiting Hungry, he he, I will make it up to you guys I Promise.

No problem, now Michael, at home and just had LINNER (lunch/Dinner) with an extra large slice of Lasagna ;~)

Would look forward in seen you you.

Oh man, there's no way I could sit in a car with lasagna for 6 hours. I would die of dehydration from drooling so much.

Mmmm, lasagna... damn Ketch, those pictures are like food porn.

Sorry but this really made me laugh. I know it meant something to you, both the cooking and the presenting of this masterfully created dish...but 'Explosion' - 'Super tanker'. Seems slightly more serious that whether RED got the lasagne. Was anyone hurt...not that it would make a slight bit of difference to me, apart from a moments ah/oh/sadness.

I hope the next attempt is not fraught with so much peril ;)

Bummer Ketch. Your food is the best

Thanks Frank.

WOW that is a lot of Lasagnas!

Yeah, when I make Lasagna is an event, and every one around me gets some.

Well I did sit there for 6 hours and a half with out touching it as I was still hoping to make it out to Red some how, but on my way back, I just could not hold it any more, so tucked out my pocket knife and here we go LINNER, he he, but was a bit messy, and had to clean up my car when at home.

Totally agree with you Tim, I don't know if any w=one was heart, but the freeway looked totally blocked out from far from were the explosion happened, so I don't think there was any one injured, but again I just don't know, the tanker I guess exploded after the Police and fireFighter cleared out the freeway both ways.

But for a person no so well like me is not fun to be stacked on a car for over 6 hours with no Water!

Bummer, Ketch. Hopefully the lasagna survived the trip. If nothing else, you wouldn't have starved if you got stuck there for too long! :) Sorry, I don't mean to joke, that would be very frustrating!

I caught the story about the fuel tanker on the evening news here. Supposedly the driver got out safely, they didn't say if anyone else was involved or hurt. But 91 closed most of the day.

6 1/2 hours! WTF I would of been on the news too if I waited that long! Better luck next time Ketch...

Sounds like a Dr. Hook song... Sorry to hear that Ketch. Would love to try some of your cooking sometime... And of course to meet you. I've met Peter Majtan, but would like to say I've met the pair of you. Take it easy man.

Wow Ketch, a bad experience ...

This is the weekend for us in SOCAL to stay put! My buddy at Oakley and I were talking and his wife called and she spent an hour trying to go from the 73 toll road merging to the I-5 and exiting the next off-ramp a half-mile away. Literally an hour to go a half mile.

I heard a rumor about your lasagna at the office, but I am glad you are okay!

Wait Ketch,

Those lasagna's don't look like they are shot on RED> :) LOL

I hope I get the invite for lasagna if I'm in Cali sometime soon.

You're welcome at my table any time.

david

Ma che belle lasagne!

Ma che belle lasagne!

If it looks good, it tastes good, and those lasagna look amazing. Too bad the guys didn't get to taste them; but thank God you're alright Ketch.

cheers!

Yeah Jeff The Lasagnas did survived the trip, well kinda of.. and it is absolutely great that no one got hurt badly, a miracle really!

Yeah sure hope so Ivan, but unfortunately this was not the first time, and in California is sure not to be the last, one of the main reasons to be on the move out in the next year or so.

He he it does Kyle. Stop by any time and you will try my cooking no doubt. Meeting you will be a pleasure.

Hey Brian, a bad experience to say the list, but will make it back out to you guys with more Lasagnas next week, this time I'll be sure to come the other way and double and triple check for accidents.

David any time you are in California my table will always have an extra open seat..

He he, usually my food looks really good, since I had two high end restaurants I always prepare dishes at home in the same artistic way, but Lasagna is Lasagna, no much to be artistic about, but I promise you will taste a real Italian home made Lasagna when you get to the house Jaadgy ;~)

Any way thanks for the support to you all guys, we are in California so I should be used to this kinda of stuff happening, then on top of everything as I really wanted to get the Lasagnas to the guys and girls at Red, I tried to be rerouted by On star, they go me completely in the middle of no were in Chino Hills, and rerouted me again off ht e60 on to the 15, by then I was home and was way too late to go the opposite route to red.

Btw, any one is invited at my home, any time all the time while here in the US as well as in Italy ;~)

OK, that's the punch line, now it's a story, made me smile, and you left it out of your original posting.

KETCH such a bummer. I have tried making a lasagna once took like an hour of hard work :) but sure did not look as good. A receipe?

Now I'm hungry! Such a shame! But it's the thought that counts!

Maybe you could give it to charity somewhere?
