  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Vegas 11 supports EPIC

So Vegas 11 it is out, and:

we've added support for RED EPIC clips.

The other big thing is the full utilization of all GPUs with Open-GL.

I'd love to hear what kind of playback you guys get with V11 on 5k files, with which GPU.
 
1/4 res is comfortably real-time, Core i7 970, GTX 560 Ti. 1/2 res starts dropping frames after a while, but real-time for about 10-20 seconds or so. Overclocking doesn't seem to help so the bottleneck is elsewhere. This is on a 4K, 8-bit timeline. Dropping to a HD timeline seems to improve performance.
 
Why does the color differ so mutch with Redcine-x? It's like they use the old redgamma and didn't update it with the new epic color pallet?
