For those getting the RED KOMODO and are contemplating alternatives to the CANON BP Batteries, getting the VAXIS ATOM 600 KV would be a great solution to that and at the same time, add wireless video functionality to your rig.

I posted some initial photos a while back

We've decided to stick with the traditional v-mount orientation and will will offer customizable antennas so you can match your KOMODO. Trying to get a sense of how many would be interested in buying one. I may have 1-2 early units for those already with a KOMODO in hand.

Specs:

600ft Transmission Distance
1080p
<0.1s delay
SDI input
SDI/HDMI Out
Power pass thru
App enabled monitoring via iOS/android (up to 4 receivers)
Data encryption

I might be interested, whats the price point?

price?

Interested as well!

Interested, depending upon price.

I can also image that if Vaxis were to make a simple, low-profile canon BP to V-Mount adapter, those would be a huge seller as well.

Can't give pricing just yet... but I'm keeping tabs of everyone that's interested. Since we're commenting, what would you wanna see in this module and why?

Above all else, low latency and solid signal connection and reconnect. Everything else is secondary. After that, things like LUT application is always nice. I’m a dealer for multiple brands of wireless systems including Teradek, and nothing else really matters when you’ve got latency issues. There are many other WiFi products out there that it’s just not needed with the Komodo (plus Komodo has built in WiFi monitoring already anyway.) keep it simple and low latency.

Oh and add my company as a dealer ;-p haha
