Harcharan ...

The Varispeed menu supports Variable Frame Rate recording at speeds faster or slower than the Project Frame Rate and Frame Rate Ramping. Varispeed recordings can be initiated by pressing the Record key

Using REDCODE™ 28 setting on 16 gig CF card/RED drive will give you the best possible variable speed ... that is 120 frame per second .. this recording is in 2K resolution ... so you should make sure if you are shooting rest of the movie in 4K .. please change your setting .. it is always better to use different drive for variable speed footage ..

Under varispeed, shutter angle is defined by mode.

Mode: enables one of three following shutter modes. Default selection is Normal.

Normal: Shutter Speed is defined exclusively by the Shutter Speed setting.
Syncro: Shutter Speed is defined by Shutter Speed, but modified by Syncro setting.
Relative: Shutter Speed is defined by Shutter Speed, but modified by the capture fps.
