Hello everybody,
I have a problem : the director of photography have forgotten to disable varispeed 60fps (on a movie in 25 fps).
Does that cause problem?
When we read in the red epic, it is read to quickly. I don't understand why (with varispeed 60 it would be slowly, no?

What is the project time base? Did you choose the project time base to either 25fps or 50fps ? 60fps requires a bit more complex speed up calculation in post, if you shot at 50 fps, in a 25p timeline you would only need to multiply by 200x for "normal" speed. for 60fps I think you its a bit more than that, but don't know the exact numbers...

Shooting 25FPS w/ a 60FPS project base in camera should be an easy fix. It really depends on what NLE you're going to use in post. If you're using Premiere Pro you can simply have Premiere interpret the clips at 25FPS instead of 60FPS and it will playback at normal speed.

Also, it would make sense that the footage is playing back too quickly, because essentially, for each second that is played back at 60FPS, 2.4 seconds of capture have passed. If that makes any sense (it does in my head!).

Try setting your timeline to 59.94 or 60 as a TIMEBASE.

need more details here

timebase was set to 60?
framerate was set to 25?

give the settings of the metadata of one clip or post one r3d snapshot.
