This is off topic, but i would still love to discuss it with you guys as this is the only forum i am on and in the wake of FRIGHT NIGHT REMAKE is shot on red one mx.
How many of you do believe in the existence of Vampires, does such a being, whose soul won't be received by the heavens and whose body won't be absorbed by the soil, exists?? Walking on this Earth for time infinite and trying to satisfy its thirst for blood. Do they exist and if they do, are they magical unholy beings back from the dead, or a genetic anomaly or some kind of mutation creating a post human. Would love to hear ur thoughts on this topic. By the way Collin Farrel is playing Jerry Dandridge the vampire in the FRIGHT NIGHT Remake set for release on august 16th in,what else, 3d.......

Just an actor who played a vampire in one of the earliest incarnations of the mythical creature on the screen.........

heh heh wall street...

question: what would be a vampire's favourite line of digital cinema cameras???
answer : "RED" cameras ofcourse

I have already read a lot about the two people namely Vlad the Impaler and Elizabeth Bathory, but these just seem to be extremely cruel cases of psychotic and homicidal minds, but there is actually verry little to connect these two to the vampires.....

One is a cruel vigilante ruler who killed a million people he considered scums of the society and another woman who was maybe suffering from the dorian gray syndrome and thought that bathing in the blood of young virgins would help her to keep her youth and beauty intact.......

Though in reality those are the true vampires or monsters if you will.

What connects Vlad is the stories that arose of him turned to tales of him being a vampire (I think been a while since I read up on him). And that to me is what is significant, not if there is, or were, but where these tales came from and what were they describing if anything, perhaps just a primordial fear in us all.

After reading Bram Stoker's Dracula in university I feel kind of sad for new generations being fed soap opera style stories of vampires and romance, nothing beats the classics... in my opinion.

as my favorite lecturer used to say, we should all get home now as it's getting late and you never know whats lurks out there in the dark. (he was a vampire expert what a fascinating man)

stay safe!

well yes of course, but i have seen the occult and some paranormal stuff that defy explanations that we know of, makes we want to believe that creatures like these exist ,in very low numbers though, and also in the darkest corners of our civilizations. Let me tell you about a phone friend of mine who lives in australia,i have never met him physically ,we met on facebook, yet he can tell my history and many of my secret deeds that don't even my parents know of, he can tell on phone what clothes i am wearing exactly, but yeah he never claimed to be a vampire..

Defying explanation does not a paranormal event make. Besides, the term "paranormal" is a silly notion - just because someone is not able to explain it at the time does not mean that eventually it won't be discovered to be a naturally occurring event or something of the kind. It's way too easy to jump on the paranormal train as soon as something unusual or spooky happens - probably because it's easier NOT to seek an explanation and rather just assume that it's beyond any form of human comprehension (kinda like something else too...but let's not start THAT debate here...)

In the end, the only reason science cannot explain it yet, is because there hasn't been any real observations of a creature that could be labelled a "vampire". Same with ghosts, and so on and so forth. Case closed. Give me a vampire chained and locked up that I can observe, 'till then it's just a fun way to kill some extra time on your hands and dreaming there is something bigger out there (which, hey, if it rocks your boat, awesome!). :)
