  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I wonder how the AF works, since we don't know how well Nikon's algorithm is compatible with the phase detection tech used in Raptor sensor.
 
Interesting... I wonder if there will be any chance to get a replacement on the RED's Electronic ND from RF2PL to Z2PL? Owning one of these expensive PL END mounts and not being to own it with Z mount would not me consider switching. Other than that, being a Nikon user and having a Z8 with Z mount lenses, this would be intersting trade in opportunity.

I made a quick and simple comparison between V-Raptor and Nikon Z8, both using RED's Film Bias LUT's. They do not produce the same result, most of the shift happens in blue colors, but It's a really easy and quick fix in Resolve though. I feel like using both cameras on the same project would not be an issue at all (like using Nikon Z8 as a B-cam on interviews or quick and easy b-roll on a smaller gimbal).
