The company I work for just got our Raptor today. If it had been here yesterday it would be out on a shoot tomorrow.
In prep for that, I was tasked to get an audio breakout solution.

I found out that the pinout of the Raptor was the same as the Alexa Mini.
I rented a Wooden Camera A-Box from a local camera rental house, Red Finch Rentals.

I have double confirmation. Wooden Camera and Remote Audio - that from the V-Raptor Ops Manual description - the Pinout diagrams, they are the same wiring specs as the regular Alexa Mini.

The problem is with what we call the clocking of the right angle connector. It covers the DC power input.
I have asked Remote Audio to make us a straight Lemo connector version of this. I just got a quote. Lemo 00 straight conector to XLR balanced stereo.

The Arri Mini LF seems to be 6 pin Lemo.. From what what I have gathered so far.

That said - I have had remarks from people that the Arri Mini only takes line in.
It also does not provide Phantom +48. That is not different from regular audio cables.

You don't have "special" line or mic XLR cables, with or with out phantom. XLR Cables are cables.

I will do some tests tomorrow when I bring in more gear to the office, and post the results.

True to form Brian.
Didn't you help RED sort out the audio board on the 1st gen RED Ones?

Yes, that was my job back then...
I did not work out the audio board as much as the developers made new code that addressed the issues we found.
The solutions were all firmware based.
Those are the unsung heros. I just plugged things in, and poked around.

The Raptor is a BETA product. In fact when you boot up the screen says WARNING - BETA
I tried out the Wooden camera breakout box and plugged in a Sennheiser shotgun mic and I can hear my voice just fine. It works.

Problem is a ton of that noise that sounds like TC bleed. Very loud. Don't plan on using this for primary audio until this gets addressed.

EDIT - I just got my custom cable from Remote Audio and now it sounds fine. The A-Box must have had an issue, that one at least.

Hi tried usingsingle channel cable I am getting audio recorded in camera but I can’t get play back of audio through sdi for monitoring playback , is there any settings I need to turn to get the audio in sdi feed?

I think this is an issue for Raptor and Komodo. It looks like the recent Beta update for Komodo addresses this so maybe the Raptor fix is coming soon.
