  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

V-Mount on a budget.

Could you not just wire these two together, and get a ~$75 dollar battery belt clip (instead of $325)? Plate and 4-pin Lemo? Is the only thing people are worried about build-quality or the way it looks, because it really doesn't bother me if it looks a little frankenstien-ish (I'd prefer to dump money into actual batteries.)

Also is 0B lemo not going to work; it needs to be 1B doesn't it?

So glad my side handle came yesterday. Waiting for switronix order to come in at Abel NY but they're not sure how many they'll get. I definitely want the Switronix plate in addition to the side handle, makes for a more versatile camera on rentals and swapping redvolts every 20 minutes is definitely no fun.

Hope your V mount trick can hold you over until the side handle comes, or backorder on switronix is fulfilled.
 
By the way I just tried to buy some of those batteries on Ebay and used the "Make an offer" option and they accepted $150 each. Looks like they're willing to go down to $100 per battery.
