  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

V Mount Batteries

Doesn't start? Are the batteries fully charged?

In fact, when using the Red Vlock plate and cable 2B to 1b, it doesn't work. When using viewfactor Vlock plate, it works !

Just now, I am doing a little test with the 160Wh : i record on a 256G SSD and see how many time I can do with 5K, 25 fps and GMP 160Wh`

Any one had experienced on used this battery? Is it accept to use with Red Cameras?
If is not void Red Warranty, then I planning for group order directly through their marketing manager...

Wondering if we should just go with WC's Bricks...Seems like the additional $60/brick is worth not dealing with the hassel.

Honestly, if you're going to be buying a decent amount of batteries, you'd be better off just buying a RED Brick 6-pack. With the bulk buy, they come out to $350 each for 140wh, instead of $360 each for 95wh (backordered) batteries. If you need less than six, trust me, you could unload the extras pretty quick on the REDUser 'for sale' section.

Very true...Good Call.
Can you confirm that the RED Bricks are compatible the WC Switronix V-Mount?

From Swit's own website:
"[Switronix V-Mount Plate] Transmits Date to EPIC/Scarlet when used with with RED Bricks or designated Switronix RED batteries"

I will be using the Switronix V-Mount with RED Bricks. Have the plate; a 6-pack of RED Bricks is on the way. If, for any reason, this doesn't work with my Epic, I'll pass the news along.

I have 3 x 230Wh "S" type GMP's and a viewfactor plate. They work perfectly...no % read out, but voltage shows
