So I just tested my v lock io for the first time, with dpa mic and sennhieser shot gun, levels look good in camera, but really low output in the head phones on playback and I cant hear it at all when recording, if I jack up the headphones so I can barely hear the signal it gets really staticy. Sounds good though when i drop it on the computer and playback, am I missing something here?

All mics are self powered and are showing up at correct levels, seems like a monitoring issue, using audio technica and shure headphones

Hm, I have the same module and haven't had any issues with audio. I have had issues with cheaper headphones that have the same 3.5mm jack that don't connect right with it but I'm sure.. your Shure headphones wouldn't exhibit that issue. Did it only start doing this since the new firmware?

I have no updated the firmware, perhaps I should do that, my audio techinca head phones are very good also. It is a monitoring problem only on channels 3/4

firmware upgraded, same issue, will call RED tomorrow and see if they know whats up

Hey Steve, I am interested too in the outcome.
We will be shooting a high end corporate movie next week with Helium in 8K.
The sound guy asked me about technical audio details of Helium with Expander. We will record off sound but he will send wirelessly link to camera for scratch and sync.

after firmware update there is a mix control deep in the audio settings, that was the issue!

Hey Steve - Do you have any photos for your setup? Are you using the WC A-Box XLR adapter? How else are you connecting two microphones to Red's single 3.5mm jack. Thanks!

I figured it out, it was the monitor mix that is only on the newest firmware, now if someone could tell me how to remove the crosshairs from the monitor!

Also I am going directly into the 3.5 from lecrosonic and sennheiser
