Hi,
I'd like to use in my laptop in non-raid configuration, 2 Momentus XT 750Gb,
one for footage and the other for temporary and render files,
and a Msata 128Gb for OS and CS6.
I already know my laptop is strong enough to read R3D in full 4K with CS6 and SSD + 32G RAM + GTX680M + i7-3840QM.
But is it possible to do the same with this hybrid hard drive instead of SSD ?
In this benchmark you can see that those hard drive can read at 100MB/s,
and if I'm right, the R3D has debit rates of 55MB/s... so in "normal" editing situation
(I mean a editing with no more than 2 different footage by sec),
do you think it's possible to edit in full 4K resolution with those drive ?
(or at least half-resolution !!!)
Thanks.
