  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Using Nikon Lenses

I use nikon lenses as well. here is my 2 cents between film lenses such s4's and the Nikon lenses. Side to side the Cookes have no match but the quality of the nikon lenses is superb, with 6k you can get a very nice set of nikons, and you will be able to get top notch images. The main problem for me is the breathing and inconstnency between lenses, each lens is very diferent form the other, such a color shift, contrast, some lenses the focus is very hard to track, the min focus distance varies from lenses. The S4's are in my personal opinion the best film lenses out there. All lenses focus at the same distance, they are very consistent from one an another, the focus ring is very smooth and in even increments.
Nikon are not the best lenses for motion, but you can get a very nice picture, if you don't mind the inconsitency. I prefer my nikon lenses over the red ones. Nikon are way better.
