Hi all

We're about to shoot a commercial on a Monstro in 8k at some high shutter speed (1/200?) to avoid excessive motion blur. The plan is to use the footage created for horizontal AND vertical deliveries (2K shop display systems) and as selected stills (HD).

Has anybody here done this before and are there any tips and tricks we need to stick to in order to make it as painless as possible?

Cheers

Remo

Haven't done it before, but my tip would be, that you make yourself some custome framelines. Also I would record in 3:2 so that it's easier to frame everything up.

I shoot footage that gets sent out as vertical video all the time. I ended buying a cheese plate mount for the side of the camera, I put a second tripod plate on it, so I have the ability to place the camera extremely quickly at 90 degrees. I think your in the right ballpark with a 90 degree + shutter // on all your shots // to utilize for photos. However, your asking for a lot out of one clip(horizontal/verticle/photo) and in my experience, when doing the vertical cut downs, it's best if you nail the shot with the camera shooting vertical and mounted on it's side.. Just my two cents and would love to see the results.
