Using Final Cut Pro with The Red

Hello, I'm new to this board, so not sure if anyone has posted this question before. Does anyone have a step by step instructions on import Red footage into FCP 5 and editing with it? Also, can footage be edited on FCP 5 and what are the system requirements for your MAC when using footage from Red. Please let me know and thank you for your time - Chris

Im not sure but I dont think FCP 5 works with RED
I belive it has to be 6.0.3 or better.

My mistake you are correct 6.0.3 or higher. It is worth the upgrade anyway if you are going to edit.

FCP5 works fine if you can deal with DVCPRO HD.

if you have the redcode quicktime plug-in installed you can also work with the quicktime proxies in final cut pro 5.
