I have a couple shots for an upcoming project where I'm thinking of using the Century Low Angle Prism.

I assume a skater scope is the preferable option, but I'm not sure we have the budget for this. (I will try though)

Is there anything I should be looking out for like strange flares, vignetting, ghosting, etc?

I have used the low angle prism a few times and they are pretty clean optically. No issues. Never used the skater scope, but I don't think it gets you quite the angle the prism wiil.

No, if I recall it's not a 90 degree angle. It basically puts the camera body in the floor as if you were in a hole looking up with the lens where the prism is. If that makes any sense.
