Just curios to see if there anybody here that tried that with an "ordinary" crane/jib like a kessler crane thats not built for a car/truck. Can you post a photo and perhaps your results? How did you minimize small vibrations from the car?

I have shot off of a pick up truck with a jimmy jib before. ratchet strap the the tripod down, let a little air out of the tires, and drive on a smooth road. vibrations were never an issue, pot holes are an issue. You will get the best results with a good road.

The following spot was shot on a R1 with a Travato Jib.

Like the previous poster commented, vibrations are not as much of a problems as potholes and uneven road conditions. We got the best results on freshly paved roads.

Thanks will run some tests later. Filming from a car witout a crane with tripod works good as long the road is in good condition. But i had little problems with vibrations on roads that been repaird. Thinking of builing a rubbersuspended cage to kill such vibration.
