URGENT FAVOR NEEDED - need to borrow lemo b adapter & evf cable in LA for Tues

Hey everyone,

In a little bit of a pickle here.

In light of the Scarlet-W waiting times I decided, while I wait for mine to come in, to pick up a Scarlet-MX brain that could use the accessories I was buying for the S-W anyway, and eventually become my B-cam once the S-W came in.

Bought the brain from a lovely Reduser user and started gathering together all the other bits I needed.

I had been planning to buy a 7" touch DSMC2 monitor for the S-W anyway, so ordered that in. As the wait for the lemo B adapter was going to be too long, I decided to check out the Wooden Camera female pogo to male lemo cable to see if it would do the job of connecting my Scarlet-MX with my new DSMC2 7" display.

I emailed WC to confirm it would work and asked on here and everyone assured me it would.

Today I finally got everything I needed together and.....

.....no dice......

Went down to RSH where they were lovely and let me test my brain with other monitors, test my monitors with other brains, test other monitors with the WC cable and basically figured out that the part of the chain that is failing is the WC connector.

Swung by the WC store and chatted with the folks there, and the basic upshot is that this cable doesn't actually work with DSMC1 brains and is *only* designed to be used with DSMC2 brains that are also using the new top plate that itself converts the pogo connector to a lemo.

So now I have a shoot on Tuesday and my only real option - given that Monday is a holiday - is to use my old SmallHD DP4 over HDMI for the whole shoot.

So I'm reaching out in the spirit of brother/sisterhood and with a gentle reminder that Jarred said people being nice on here would be reward to ask:

does anyone have a Lemo B adapter and evf cable that I could possibly borrow/rent for my shoot on Tues & Weds. I have insurance and can add you as a loss payee and I can get anywhere in the greater LA area to pick up from you between now and Monday and return to you on Thursday.

Help me Redusers, you're my only hope.

And I will totally pay it forward - once my lemo b adapter that I just ordered comes in - by making my Scarlet-MX package available, for free, to someone in the LA area who is waiting on a Scarlet-W package and needs a camera for a shoot of up to a couple of days.

Oh, and if you were going to buy the WC lemo to pogo cable to mount a DSMC2 display on a DSMC1 brain..... don't!

I had a WC rep confirm with me over email that the cable WILL work on a DSMC1 body (specifically my scarlet mx) connected to a DSMC2 4.7" touch (which i'm currently waiting on). If it doesn't work and it's like you described, I'm gonna be SOL with 1.5 months of combined order waiting time down the drain, and I'll have to reevaluate my rig configuration.

Does WC know that they are giving out conflicting information?

I got the impression from what they told me that they're only just figuring out that their solution will not work between dsmc1 brains and dsmc2 displays.

I ordered the Red lemo adapter b which I'm hopeful will do the job.

I had a lemo b on order w/ the 4.7 screen but cancelled it because the WC cable was a direct connection (at least, in theory) and thus my rig would be leaner/simpler. 4.7 touch --> cable --> brain versus 4.7 touch --> lemo b --> cable --> brain.

But I guess there are no shortcuts in life, I gotta order that lemo b again too. I'm picking up the 4.7 tomorrow from Irvine and if it doesn't work with the WC cable then I'll be going that route.
