I was just thinking: There seem to be quite a few people who want the lens height to be lower on the Red One for shoulder mount use. Would it be possible (with a newly designed top mount) to mount the camera upside down for a shoulder configuration? (This would lower the lens height and center of gravity a ton, and provide for a great place to mount batteries to balance the camera) I know it would switch the dumb side around and the menu's would be upside down, and you would have to flip the image later, but its just a thought... Am I crazy, would the camera over heat?

I'm not sure I'd want to put the part designed to be a heat sink anywhere near my shoulder, or even block it's radiating surface with other pieces of equipment. Sounds like you'd just be begging for it to overheat.

I was thinking of that, but what if the fan circulates air through the heat sink than up and out- seems more natural than pulling hot air down and out.

for the short film contest (the witch of Portobello) we used my camera upsite down for steadycam shots in the low mode. There where no problems and by doing this in this way e could be shoting very close to the floor and easy tho fasten to the ow mode steadycam from Ruben Sluyter.

for shoulder purpuse it's solving a small problem and getting bigger ones.
