I just switched over from mac to pc to work with red footage. i have a 2k sequence in premiere and am trying to export and upload to youtube at 2k. I have downloaded avid codecs and read that youtube supports DNxHD 220 8bit at 2k. I exported with it and uploaded it, but highest res available on yt is 1080. How is everyone uploading 2k content to youtube?? I'm working on a pc with windows 7 and I don't have proRes. I know there are ways to encode in proRes on a pc but I rather just use something straight out of premiere that works. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

H264 5.1 supports up to 4k. This is what we use to upload 4k.

ahh, awesome. thanks so much. what bitrates would you recommend on 2pass vbr?

does anyone have any recommendations for bit rate settings for h.264 5.1? I'm trying to figure out what the best file size and bit rate balance is to have good quality and playback. any advice would be great so i dont have to keep exporting tests. thanks.
